Decision Matrix

The decision matrix was used to determine the best possible option for the steel bridge team to go with this year. Each design was rated on a scale from 1-5, with 5 being the best and 1 being the worst. Overall the team decided to go with the beam bridge because it would have the minimum amount of connections, members, and construction time. The beam bridge being optimal in these categories would allow the team to optimize the results in the AISC Student Steel Bridge Competition
